I work with international writers in higher education toward their proficiencies in the art. My teaching, as such, embodies a trivium of English for academic purposes, world literature, and creative writing. Alongside applications of linguistics, rhetoric, and poetics, I strive to bring to bear the lessons of my own hard-won experience against the touchstone of the canon. My pedagogical approach to multilingual composition is dialogical, informed by the credo that learning to read and write well enriches lives and serves the greater good.
